Activity T1 — Get set up for the term

Go to your student portal. Click Google Workspace. Then click Drive.

At the top-left of the screen, click + New. Then click New Folder.

Name your new folder Year 8 Digital Tech. (You can copy and paste the name from here)

Now share your folder with me, jared.henley@education.nsw.gov.au. (You can copy and paste my email address from here).

Choose a nickname for yourself, to use on the status page. Not using your real name keeps it a bit private.

Here are some ideas:

• A nickname you actually use in real life
• Superheroes (spiderman, batman, elastigirl)
• A username you have elsewhere (multixrulz, redrock, raptor)

Click the Avatar list link at the top right the status page. Choose an avatar from that list. This avatar will represent you on your status page.

If you don’t want to choose, a program will randomly choose one for you. Put a zero on your claim slip for the avatar number.
